We launched our new product, UtilityClick API, just over 3 months ago now. We’re delighted to see strong sign up uptake and wanted to share with you some of the features that have helped this product launch successfully:
Tried and tested
We’ve already unleashed the UtilityClick API on our existing customers. We took the brave decision to move the processing and generating of matrix quotes from a webjob to the API, significantly improving the speed of quote generation within the system.
You Are In Control
Whether it’s used through a website or an internal system, API’s are effectively a very efficient way of calling and presenting information back to you in a standard format. The benefit is that you have creative control to present this information however you wish, including integration within your own CRM.
Simple Request and Response Calls
UtilityClick API has been built with simplicity in mind. The request and response calls through our API contain as few variables as possible. The complexity is stored and maintained within the supplier products which are managed within our CRM. A call request for a gas quote requires only 6 inputs. This makes the implementation of our API extremely simple. UtilityClick has built a business on understanding its audience. We’ve handled the complexity on our side, so your developer doesn’t need to be an energy expert.
Cutting Edge Technologies
We have invested heavily in the systems that support UtilityClick API. Apache Ignite is used to store millions of product rates in RAM that can be called upon rapidly. Kubernetes is used for automatic deployment and on-demand scaling to always ensure there is excellent availability and performance.
UtilityClick has industry leading support to ensure that as a user, you are always supported when using our products. This is no different for when using the UtilityClick API. Telephone and email support comes as standard. We take ownership of the set-up and management of products & flat files. Full API documentation is given to support your developer in the integration of the API and additional development support can also be provided to your coders / IT team for any further technical questions.
As with all products launched by UtilityClick, the build of the product is always to the highest standard.
In brief with the UtilityClick API:
- We use the best available systems to ensure great performance.
- We prioritise the user experience (UX) with all products to ensure it has been built in a user friendly way.
- We provide industry leading support.
- We recognise that the energy industry is extremely complex and bespoke integration is needed per TPI.
