That’s right – the industry-leading UtilityClick Matrix pricing system is now available as an API. Provide meter details to retrieve hundreds of quotes across all suppliers – in milliseconds. And supported by the UC flat file / pricing team.
When we started up our little software business, we were presented with a challenge. OK, to be honest, as a startup business we were presented with numerous challenges, but I only have time to tell you about one of them today. Selling a CRM system can be tough – particularly when you’re still developing the very software you’re encouraging others to subscribe to. Embracing a CRM system such as ours can be an eye-opening experience, providing the end user with an entire shed full of shiny new tools which were never available before. But just because you have the option of buying these new tools doesn’t mean you actually will. Unfortunately, the adoption of – or migration to – a new CRM system can be a daunting experience spanning the entire height and width of the company organigram; from senior management through to sales and admin teams.
In short, the incentive to switch systems to gain access to new functionality is in a tug-of-war situation against the perception of upheaval and re-training of staff. In our experience (although I would say this); the end result is well worth the effort, but although we strive to minimise this through on-site training and phone support, these things do take time and – understandably – this means that not everyone takes the plunge. Some already have in-house systems which serve the purpose. Others might be mid-contract with their incumbent supplier or simply don’t want to make the change.
A solution was needed to spread our service to those who don’t want to (or can’t) change CRMs, as well as those who want to create immersive web-based pricing websites and platforms. In other words, provide access to our incredible pricing engine which underpins matrix quoting and converts millions of rows of pricing data into annual comparisons.
So after working tirelessly with a raft of exciting new technologies at our disposal, we’re proud to be able to offer the UtilityClick API. A simple and universal JSON request and retrieve process can provide immediate pricing results across all suppliers and all products. This means that for the first time, our pricing engine can be built right into the core of your internal CRM system or corporate website.
We will be supporting our API customers with phone and email support – and you’ll benefit from the rapid turnaround on pricing as well as TPI-specific pricing books for those who receive them.
